librecad newb

Hi , been dabling in cad for years, solidworks a bit, Alibre and some really ancient cad that i really like for 2D but not available any more.  I like Alibre but just don't want to pay for support and i need a hotter machine to run it.  Designed and manufactured some pistol sights for HiPoint pistols!!!  Fun but I sold the rights to the manufacturer of the 40 cal.
So here I am!!

Seems as if there are some good tutorials!!  

Nice to hang with you all.  Are there any repositories  of drawings that a just  png or jpg or something basic like those?

I'm not sure what pictures you are referring, check from Library Browser that is on the right side, tab to the Layer list. It has quite decent selection.
