linked-embedded images

Hi everyone,
I was looking around here in the forum then I have a request/question.
Is it possible to have an option on "insert image" to choose if have linked or embedded images?
Would it take too long find a method to create/put this function?

p.s. I hope also that in a near future it will be possible using true type fonts and open type fonts!
