missing plugins / menu bar

Hello,

I tried installing librecad via apt-get and it was missing the menu bar:



so I could not get to File --> import ASCII file, which is really what I want to use. So, compiled from source (master) just now and it's the same. I can live without the menu bar, but I really would like to know how to get to the plugins somehow if that's possible--they seemed to compile without issue as well.
