Dear responder, the following is a cut and paste of what I sent to another email that turns out not to be a good one (at least no response up to now).

Dear hardeep,

Your assumption about my interest in documentation was correct.  My Ph.D. was from the BCIS department at University of North Texas at Denton, Texas.  The programming language of the majors there was Cobol on mainframes (and still is), the Computer Science Department majors had to take Pascal on DEC minicomputers.  I was a computer science minor but I never had to learn C or C++ along the way.  Therefore my shyness with regard to the programming aspect of the project.  If/when I get into C++ that may change.  I have written code in Cobol, Fortran, Basic, Assembler (S370) and Pascal.

I downloaded and installed LibreCAD 1.0.2 for Windows several months ago and started playing with it.  I use it to generate pictures like birds-eye-views of cars/houses/landscapes/pool tables and stuff like that so I don't really use it to make money per say.

There is a concept in the computer world I like to call "good enough".  This occurs where a user has hardware or software that may be combined to solve a problem.  It is not the fastest or the sexiest or the slickest or anything like that, it just gets the job done without a lot of hassles.  Like a comparison between the real AutoCAD program and the LibreCAD program.  Why spend $4000 when it isn't necessary.

I guess my comments about English grammar didn't come off quite as well as I had hoped.  I was a professor for 12 years and in the beginning I was usually surprised at how many university students couldn't write an intelligent paragraph (pet peeve).

I really believe in "free" software and I am still interested in helping.

later,
charles......

Please let me know how to properly address you since "responder" doesn't seem to have the right ring to it.  Is hardeep ok?

thank you,
charles.....
