dear hardeep,

thanks for the response.  I have been looking around a bit and found bob, a person who has been working on a current book/tutorial for LC 2.0.  I may get up enough gumption to contact him and see where it goes.  Being a computer person means my main machine is always in flux.  Seems I need 3 or 4 machines to get anywhere with any of them.  I am not a big fan of virtual machines (one machine, one os) but I can see their advantages to business.  I saw your suggested list of sites for learning C, I already know about, been to and utilized most of them.  There is a huge difference between a beginner and someone who has 3 solid years of programming experience with a language (a wish for me and C).  A good market for LibreCAD might be professionals using SuSE instead of AutoCAD/Windows.  Autodesk has sworn never to support the Linux market.  One of their tricks is to constantly change their standard file formats.  This makes pro's need to buy the latest version of their software.  It also makes it more difficult to build up bigger picture/parts libraries for competitors.  I'm glad we finally got on the same page and I will try some of your suggestions.

later,
charles.....
