I have noticed that while your document is a pdf (generally a vector format), the hatching samples shown are bitmap images, and the pdf is made in Microsoft Office Word. Have you used screenshots?
If you are keen to tinker around a bit more and have more work, you could build it in Librecad with boxes of 100x100 units, fill them with the hatchings, and print/export to pdf. This way fine hatching structures are kept. Won't be easy, scaling and line thickness issues to be considered. Maybe not worth the effort, and the file will get large, but if you seek the challenge...
