For those interested, the Gentoo package is filtering through the QA process here: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/18548

Gentoo does not package binaries, so it may not be particularly useful for anyone outside Gentoo.

I think it would be great if LibreCAD 2.2 could be also distributed as a "portable", perhaps the same way Blender distributes, or using AppImage, which are auto-built which will help users adopt the latest code and help with testing.
