What kind of arcs do you want to trim?
Only circular arcs can be trimmed, no elliptical arcs or splines.
Or are they part of a polyline?

What kind of drawings do you work on?
Which units?
On very large drawings, e.g. land surveying, or drawings far from the origin (large X/Y coordinates), there are few issues with tolerance and exactness of rendering.
