The current v2 is tied with Qt and GPLv2, so development towards a web app will be difficult.

LibreCAD_3, i.e. v3, could be potentially promising. Need to investigate python support for v3, as the current scripting in v3 is for lua.

I'm also wondering whether a JavaScript CAD is a sound starting point instead, compared with LibreCAD by C++.
