trimming tangent circle and line

Hello! I am new here.
This may be very old question but I still don't find solution after all day googling.
I am trying to trim circle to which two lines tangent. I want to trim the circle below:

to become this below:

There are some unsolved tolerance issues with trimming of circles and tangents. Maybe other angles or diameter or even position may work, but there is no rule of thumb when it works or not.

Maybe the Fillet tool is an option for you? With the Fillet tool you can enter a radius in the tool option bar and trim both lines to be connected with a tangential arc.
