Not working well on Mac OSX anymore?

Davek0974
I have this version...

Version: master
SCM Revision: 2.0.7
Compiler: Clang 6.0.0
Qt Version: 5.4.0
Compiled on: Jan 3 2015

I recently got a Macbook Pro with Retina screen, and it came with Yosemite of course, I updated my Librecad to the version above but find a few issues stopping me from using it.

1 - The screen is fixed size, most of the real estate is taken up with a fixed size tool palette and the massive layers list on the right, making the layers menu float does not free up any real estate. This list occupies about a third of my screen and cannot be reduced.

The grey area above and below the work space is fixed and wasted - why???

2 - It does not properly recognise clicks from a wacom tablet

Is this normal or can it be fixed????

Thanks

Hi,

could you try the nightly builds at:OS/X nightly builds

The window size problem was fixed after 2.0.7, but we don't get much feedback on OS/X, partly due to our small OS/X user base.

Thanks!

Its better, thanks, now i get this...

The only visible fault i can see is that half of the left toolbar is covered, closing the workspace makes no difference.

The layers list is now resizable :)

Anything can be done with the tool palette??

Its also unstable now, just had two crashes, never happened before.

Also the delete button is not recognised - you have to select then go to menu "delete selected items"

Any fixes???

Our developer ravas has been spending time cleaning up the cad toolbar part. Hopefully, we will see some improvement in days.

I will have a look at the "Delete" key issue.

Please try to identify a pattern of crash. I helps to provide detailed steps to reproduce a crash, to help the troubleshooting.

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

All i did was draw a few lines, add about 8 points then when trying to modify properties on a point it just crashes out.

I can confirm all you have to do is draw a line etc then goto modify properties, change a value and press ok = instant crash

thanks!

I tested it on OS/X 10.8.5. I can see the cad toolbar problem.

However, I can not reproduce the crash.

1, Draw -> Line: 0,0 1,1
2, Modify->Properties
3, changed end point  coordinates, ok, no crash
4, changed line color, ok, no crash.

Please note the current LibreCAD builds for OS/X are only tested on 10.8 and 10.9 versions. I don't have access to latest OS/X versions here.

Any help is welcome to improve OS/X support.

That is the problem then, please try on the latest release, Yosemite 10.10.3 version.

I have no access to lower versions now and cannot use the software anymore.
