Release 2.1.0 sounds great, so I would like to try it out. I am currently using
LibreCAD Version: master SCM Revision: 2.0.9 Compiler: GNU GCC 5.3.1 Qt Version: 5.5.1 Compiled on: Mar 24 2016 However, I have spent a couple of hours this evening just trying, in vain, to download it The ubuntu software thingy did not help; it only seems to offer the option to un-install my existing LibreCAd. I clicked on one link that I thought might lead to the “Download” page, but that looked like a Windows version. There was a link to another download underneath that one, but no explanation of what that download was all about. I looked on the LibreCAD Ubuntu Installation web-page, but I haven’t a clue what “sudo” is all about. Do I have to download just one file, or librecad, librecad-data and librecad-doc? I see there is an announcement in the sub-forum “Anouncements”, but surely this is going to go un-noticed by most LibreCAD users. In addition, that anouncement tells us that 2.1.0 has been “released”, but there are no instructions for how to download, install, or upgrade an existing version. Any chance of some non-technical, step-by-step, instructions for those like me, who are not computer-literate? |

I'm not sure if this is the "official" ubuntu package or not.
http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/librecad Maybe someone can request an update. |

Note it has various packages not relevant to LibreCAD,
and I can't personally vouch for the owner. |

About the PPA - I found a way to use travis to keep it up to date. I'm testing it with another project now, in the future that would work better and something everyone could tweak as needed. I emailed Ries from my email account, so you should have that too. Great job with the release everyone! I requested membership in librecad-dev group on Launchpad long time ago to get involved and support PPA maintenance.
But still no response. Are there any reasons for this? Armin
investing less than half an hour into Search function can save hours or days of waiting for a solution

Congratulations, this is a great release. The new menu navigation is simpler now, and the “recent tools” context menu is just amazing. Together with the menu creator, this release added so many ways to speed up daily usage. Thanks guys!
