Can't place text.

I am trying to place some text in my file using the MText option. I click on MText, enter the text and then click OK. The text floats on the window. When I left click nothing happens. what am I doing wrong?

So far I've tried, 1) Turning OFF draft mode. 2) Save text to file option in MText window.

I'm adding screenshots for clarity.

dxf file is also attached WR_OPGW_MAP_R1.dxf

Welcome elpme53!

Your active layer is the layer delete which is invisible.
So the text is placed on this layer and disappears when you place it.
Select the desired visible layer first and try again.
