If a line lies obliquely across a rectangle, how is the part of the line inside the rectangle cut?
I have seen answers dating back to 2012/2013, but they do not seem to work on Version 2.1.0.
dxli made the rectangle tool produce a polyline, instead of lines.
It would probably make sense to move the tool into the polyline category;
however, ideally we would have two tools or an option to choose lines or polyline.
I could not trim polylines with Trim or the polyline 'Trim Segments'...
so there does seem to be a bug... or two.
The 2012/2013 examples I saw use Modify-Divide as well as what was called something like `snap to intersection'. I assumed the latter to be `Tools->Select->Select Intersected Entities' in 2.1.0.
If Modify-Divide works for you using 2.1, could you write down the procedure you used from
beginning to end and including every mouse `click'.
