Can you please give more details? LibreCAD version (Help-About), OS version, which steps exactly to reproduce it?

Re: Delete and trim not working

Lumaja
OS Ubuntu 12.04
LibreCad
LibreCad 2.07
GNU GCC 4.6.3
Qtver. 4.8.1

After mirroring a drawing and realise I left a line too long, tried to trim but with Trim command on  and click on the line doest not change to the correspond colour, the Delete, add a line or a circle command does the same.
I made a line and a cross on the same page I can Delete or Trim.
I think since I mirror the drawing it is is locked to any Editing

This post was updated on .
please find a detailed procedure to reproduce this bug, like:

1, Draw -> Line 2 points: draw line from 0,0 to 1,1
2, Modify -> Mirror: select the line drawn in step 1 to make a mirror, and click the right Arrow in CAD toolbar or press Enter to continue;
3, select the first point on mirror line: 1, 0
4, select the second point on mirror line: 1,1
5, in mirror dialog, choose "Keep Original", and Click Ok

expected result:

a mirror of line drawn in step 1 is created.

It also helps to attach a test case DXF file to show this bug.

I removed some overlap as shown in:

cleanup.dxf

What happens, if you save the file, close and reopen it?
Is the issue still there after reopen? The please create a test file, before and after mirroring and share them with your post.

Can you please check your LibreCAD version. Version 2.0.7 is not yet released. See Help-About-SCM Revision.

Maybe it's a matter of GCC or Qt version. Have you build from source yourself?

I can delete those two lines from your dxf file: line( (0,0), (1,1)) and line ( (1,1), (2,0) ).

could you describe detailed steps to show the problem?

Re: Delete and trim not working

Your should have a drawing off two desks, the right side one is a mirror of the left side one.
Looking into the left one where is typed “screen” on the bottom line there is three lines downward,
the right line that crosses the X line is too long (Zoom) and I wanted to trim it.
With command TRIM and click on the line it should change colour, by me it does nothing. If I want to delete any line Click on it changes into a dotted line and dost not delete.
When I was trying to mirror found that the two drawings end up touching each other, I dint want
that, I want the two away from each other, I add two lines on the right of the first drawing and then mirrored with final correct result then I delete the two extra lines and Save after this I found that the mention above line was two long and that is where my problem start.

The Mirror_Test.dxf you've posted doesn't have any desks. It's only the two lines dxli described above.
And in this file I can trim both lines.

Re: Delete and trim not working

You have many lines overlapped.

To delete multiple overlapped entities, try to select by windows:

0, quit all current actions, by the "Selection pointer" in the top toolbar area, or repeat mouse right clicking until there's no action;
1, mouse left click to draw a rectangle to select entities completely within the rectangle;
2, Modify -> delete selected.

The current trimming action does not support trimming of entities by selection, making it hard to trim multiple overlapped entities.

Re: Delete and trim not working

neal
here is the desk with all the extra lines removed...

it looks like you may have copied the original desk roughly 8 times on top of itself...

see if you can now delete and trim properly
