Dimensions accuracy

Hi

When I draw dimension lines they never come up accurately, I was doing orthographic drawing and trying to use one grid square to .25 of a metre, but it never reports back accurately.  I have tried zooming in when placing my dimension lines but still with no success.  I`m new to the program but I have not changed any settings as far as I can see.

Looks as if you don't have any snap on.
If you want to draw using the grid you have to activate "Snap on grid". When doing the dimensions, switch off "Snap on grid", and use preferably "Snap on Endpoints". "Free Snap" is best on always.
