Fedora 21: upgrading from 2.0.6 to 2.0.7

This post was updated on .
Hello,

Attempting to upgrade librecad due to the 'modify menu' not working.

Basic errors I get when using either of the following:

[root@localhost maestro]# rpm -ivh http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Rallaz/Fedora_21/x86_64/librecad-2.0.7-1.1.x86_64.rpm
Retrieving http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Rallaz/Fedora_21/x86_64/librecad-2.0.7-1.1.x86_64.rpm
warning: /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.62t6ye: Header V3 DSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID faf7292e: NOKEY
Preparing...                          ################################# [100%]
file /usr/share/librecad/qm/librecad_ca.qm from install of librecad-2.0.7-1.1.x86_64 conflicts with file from package librecad-langs-2.0.6-1.fc21.noarch
<<<This basic conflict is repeated a number of times>>>

Same results if I use 'yum install http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Rallaz/Fedora_21/x86_64/librecad-2.0.7-1.1.x86_64.rpm'

I couldn't load the correct " data 2.0.7" file without it. Dependency.

What am I doing wrong?

I also went back, ran yum erase, rpm -e for librecad, find/rm -r for all files, then restarted the download from a supposedly clean install of 2.0.7.

Same error messages, same fail.

I  am out of ideas.

dxli
does removing the package  librecad-langs work?

Hope Rallaz can fix this as soon as possible.

2.0.6 has broken keyboard for Enter/Return for actions:

basically, you can not press Enter to continue, but you can still use CAD toolbar "Continue/Back" buttons.

Worth looking for again:

[root@localhost Downloads]# find / -name libecad-lan*
find: ‘/run/user/1000/gvfs’: Permission denied
[root@localhost Downloads]#

I am missing some sort of config or dependencies file that apparently needs cleaning.

An acquaintance is using a similar build (from the same Fedora repo; 2.0.6-) and it is working.  I didn't ask if he is running Fedora 20 or 21. That would be a good question -- maybe a slight clue.  Something to ask.

His download info:
Signature   : RSA/SHA256, Thu 06 Nov 2014 08:11:23 PM MST, Key ID 89ad4e8795a43f54
Source RPM  : librecad-2.0.6-1.fc21.src.rpm
Build Date  : Wed 05 Nov 2014 11:56:04 AM MST

I wonder how much my issue is related to NOKEY warning message?  Maybe just a red herring.

Re: Fedora 21: upgrading from 2.0.6 to 2.0.7

Rallaz
You are changing the LibreCad "vendor".

In Fedora Librecad package are splited in several sub-packages.

First uninstall all installed Librecad packages from Fedora repo's:
librecad, librecad-devel, librecad-fonts, librecad-langs, librecad-parts and/or librecad-patterns

and next install librecad 2.0.7 from my repo.

About NOKEY warning:
All my packages do not have GPG signature, then allways are show this warning.

Thanks for the reply.

I installed kde (that took me a while to get the correct install for Fedora21).  Then opened the kde sw manager.

Oddly, it showed the additional packages for 2.0.6 that my previous searches using command line 'find' did not.

I removed them and had a successful install.

Just as you suggested.

Now to figure out how to make the modify menu items work.
I made a simple box, then selected it, then modify>move/copy, but no pop up box with options. I did a similar thing to 'rotate' the box, but no ability to select a pivot point.

More to learn (I hope that is the issue).

The following were console errors generated when I launched librecad from the console window:
libpng warning: iCCP: Not recognizing known sRGB profile that has been edited
libpng warning: iCCP: Not recognizing known sRGB profile that has been edited
KGlobal::locale(): Warning your global KLocale is being recreated with a valid main component instead of a fake component, this usually means you tried to call i18n related functions before your main component was created. You should not do that since it most likely will not work
klauncher(10573) kdemain: No DBUS session-bus found. Check if you have started the DBUS server.
kdeinit4: Communication error with launcher. Exiting!
startkdeinitlock(10560): No ksycoca4 database available!
