Hi all,
New member signing in, building myself a CNC plasma table and need to Lear cad for the first time.

Librecad looks to be a great bit of software.

I'm new to all of this :)

All my machinery is manual old-school iron so I am trying to learn cad, cam and CNC in one go.

I'm building the controls on Mach3 and using sheetcam for compiling the G-code.

I tried using illustrator for the source DXF file but it's a complex program to learn, being used to x-y coordinates seems to make learning cad a bit easier, should be ok once I've learnt the basics.

Ooh, Mechmate, that's a big machine :). Been reading their forum for build ideas etc, very nice.

I'm hoping to stick with cad, started watching the videos on YouTube, very useful resource.
