How do I specify which entity(ies) to delete on the command line?

mikepwagner
I really like using the command line - I am a terrible mouser.

I have not been able to figure out how to select which entity to delete on the command line.

When I type "del", the prompt says "select to delete", and I cannot figure out how to specify what I want to del.

Thanks,

Mike

I don't know if any CAD is usable without mouse or some pointing device.

If you are 'a terrible mouser' maybe you should think something else. I for example use a trackball, there are also some ergonomic mouses. Or CAD tablets (digitizer)

I have actually been pleasantly surprised by what I can do with the command line in LibreCad.

There is now way to select entities from command line.
How do you think should this work? Do you know coordinates of all entities?

You can either select entities first, using the mouse and then type del or simply press the Del key.
Or type del first and then select one or more entities using the mouse. To finish the command press Enter to delete all selected entities.
investing less than half an hour into Search function can save hours or days of waiting for a solution

Thanks - I thought that’s I had  selected the entities first, and then typed delete. I will try that again.

And use zoom, makes easier to hit the entities wihile they are bigger.

I too am a fan of LibreCAD's cli, but as LordOfBikes explained, some things just are not accessible from cli alone.
