How to change the color of an existed entity ?

Johnson
My dxf is consisted by two entity.

one is a simple line which color is white

another is a special group entity (which is inserted by "Insert"),the color of this group is white

I want to change color of line to red .
and change the color of group to blue.

How can I do that ?

Thanks very much . Welcome your idea sincerely.

Hello Johnson,

With "Modify->Properties" (one entity everytime) or
with "Modify->attributes" ( a selecton) you can change the color & more

Remember to edit the block definition (referenced by insert) and change
color to "byblock" in all its component entities.
In "block list" select the block then "Block->edit block" to edit a block definition.

Thanks very much Rallz

I could successfully change the color of one entity .

For the block, it's not as I expected.  So do you mean if I want to change the block separately in another window (Block->edit block) ?
I think engineer might prefer to change the block properties as in an overall draw.  what's about your opinions ?

Blocks are a powerful tool and once created do not have to modify.
But if you have to correct something in the block definition then use
"Block->edit block" and changes are applied in ALL inserts.

If the block definition is quite correct to use then works only with the inserts,
changing the color, scale, rotation, etc.
And even stored in a library for reuse in other drawings

In your case, you have to edit the definition of the block and put the color of all entities "byblock".
Then you only have to change the properties to the insert and no more "edit block".

Next stage is select block in "block list" and click in "save the active block to a file"
And "File->import->block" to reuse in a new drawing
