How to move the "Last Position" ... aka ... "Red Circle" Indicator?

With regards to the red circle with the "+" mark in it...

I want to reposition it to a certain location on the screen...
For instance...
To a "point" I previously created...

The only way I can see to do it is to create a new point on top of the old point...

Ditto for moving the red circle position indicator to the end of a previously drawn line...
Or to the corner of a previously drawn rectangle

Again, The only way I can see is to create a new point at that location... and then delete the point when I no longer need it.

Is there another to relocate the red circle with the + mark in it to a new location?

Re; the circle indicator.
I go to line (2 points). Put your cursor where you want the red circle to be, left click, then just don't finish the line, right click to get out. The circle stays there until of course you make your next move.
