I have some small parts drawn full size in LibreCad and want to print out a copy of them.
How do I scale the drawing up solely for the purposes of printing a copy?

Not sure about the exact meaning of this question.

If you mean to print out scaled, try the scaling input(type in scales) in printpreview.

If you mean to print out part of the drawing, you may try "layer" or "block" as part of the drawing.

I did not explain sufficiently, sorry about that.
I mean that I have a full size drawing of a small component part. It is around 48 mm long and less in the other dimension. When I print it out full size, it of course only fills that sized part of the paper.
Now if I want to fill the paper and have it easy for the machinist to read, that is in a scaled up representation, then that is my question; how do I achieve this.

I tried this: "try the scaling input(type in scales) in printpreview. " but could not find a field into which I could type "scales".
What have I missed?

dialog printpreview

looks like:

1, we really need to do something for toolbar dialogs. They do show up, but many times not conspicuous enough;
2, add a big "Print" section to user manual.

It does look like I have a different version of LibreCad than what you are showing.
I cannot find anything like you show in your screenshot. This is my view here:

The options won't show directly after pressing the icon on the file toolbar (in the version you are using).
Try moving your mouse in the drawing area after you enable print preview.
The options will appear in the same toolbar as the options for tools and snapping.

There is more work to be done on the print preview options.

Could it be you are not in the print preview mode at all?  File - Print preview
