Imported picture blocks lines behind it + scaling idea

joonasr

Importing a picture for a reference is a great feature. There is a million situations where adding (cropped) real life image gives a lot of info for the design.

But I noticed that a line drawn on the same layer behind the picture box (transparent area) cannot be accessed again. You can't select it and delete it. Is there a work around?

Scaling your picture is bit cumbersome. It seems 1 pixel = 1 unit (line mm) and you can calculate and do the scaling while cropping in your photo editor. But it would be very handy to do this in the import dialog.

What I mean is:
1. Take a picture of yourself
2. Measure one reference length, like from belt to floor
3. Crop yourself from the image
4. Choose the picture to import
5. "draw a line" i.e. mark those two reference points to the image for the reference measure
6. fill in the reference measure
7. place your self, readily scaled, in front of the (what ever thing) you designed.
