Insert blocks from Block List into another drawing

I want to insert a block from the Block List into another drawing, but the
Insert the Active Block option from the Block List only works within
the current file. How can I transfer blocks to other drawings?

Never having done so I imagine two approaches:
a) In the first drawing export block, then in the second drawing import block.
b) In the first drawing select the block(or explode it and select its entities), CTRL-C, then in the second drawing CTRL-V then create block again.

Is the block made by you?, then you may want to get it available later in other drawings, use export and keep a directory with your dwg exported blocks.
will the block never be used again?, then maybe just copy/pasting is enough.

Yes, I made the block.  I want to get it available later in other drawings and will be
using it frequently.  If I export the block, the options are


1. Export as MakerCAM SVG
2. Export as PDF
3. Export as Image

Yet when one tries to import the options are

1. Insert Image
2. Block

Have noticed that when I import a file that has blocks defined in it, all the drawings get imported
even though some elements are not in a block.
