using xfce4 desktop 4.8.3-2
I start LibreCAD, and nearly anything I do that relates to the file system causes a complete crash of X, bringing me back to the desktop login.
Any of the following causes an immediate crash of the desktop (not just the program)
"file -> open"
"file -> save"
"edit -> application preferences -> anything" (note that the application preferences window successfully pops up, but as soon as I try to click on anything in the window, my desktop crashes [except for cancel].)
One thing I will mention. I use several computers with an NFS mounted home dir. Because of this, I set XDG_CONFIG_HOME to keep a unique desktop for each computer. I don't know why this would be an issue unless LibreCAD does not follow the standard X configuration API. I'll run a test by linking my XDG_CONFIG_HOME to ~/.config and see what happens.
OK, that didn't help at all.
I also tried logging in as another user, and as root - same results
I also tried using a different window manager or two, with the same results.
I'll try on one of my other computers tomorrow...
