Librecad as replacement for Cadam (.cdd) files

I have a lot of old Cadam .cdd format files. I have searched around for an alternative software that can import and allow modification of the .cdd format files without a big hassle.

Can Librecad import and work with .cdd files? Are there any other recommendations?

CADAM is proprietary software and thus there is no free available information about their cdd file format.
So LibreCAD does not support cdd files.
