Missing Layer Menu

Bron_Zero
I have been away from LibreCAD for a while, and decided to get back into it for a couple of projects. I opened it up and started working on some basic stuff when I decided to setup a few layers. To my surprise, there was no layer menu.  I can open drawings that have multiple layers, but I have no option to add and setup new layers.  I installed the latest version, but the problem is still there. Is there a way to completely clean all the installation off my laptop, so the new install won't be affected by the old one? Or maybe someone has a totally different solution. I'm open for any help. Thanks.

Options - Application Preferences - Defaults - Clear Settings - Layout or All should reset everything.

Thanks, dellus, for the replay. I saw this possible solution on another post where a guy had one layer missing from his drawing, so I had already tried this before I made this post.  Unfortunately, it didn't change anything. My situation is quite different though. This other person had his work disappear that was on a certain layer. I can see all the layers on previous drawings, but the actual "Layer" menu is not there at the top where "file", "edit", "view", (etc.) drop down menus are. I'm thinking if I can do a completely clean uninstall and reinstall, it may clear it up, but I'm not sure how to do that.

Hi,

There's a new "Widgets" top level menu.

When expanded, there's "Dock Widgets".

Now, you can choose Layer Tree, or "re-dock Widgets" later on.

Alternatively, you may try the menu or toolbar Creators under Widgets to for customized menu or toolbars.

Should we rename"Widgets"?

It's a clear term for developers, but may not be intuitive for end users.

Idk. It's probably fine. Have you had other issues with people finding stuff? I was just a bit confused.  It may be helpful to just call the widget "Layers" instead of "Layer List" though.  Just my personal opinion. It's not just a list. It's also all the layer functions. What do you think?
