Texts and Snap dimension txt coming out huge

Seth_Hambrick
Hi, I'm a bit of a newbie with librecad but I did follow through and complete the tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vv2-6Q_8gQw&t=388s

However, now that I'm making my own blueprint I've run into a bit of a pickle I can't figure out. First of all I'm working in inches and in drawing preferences my general scale is set to 1 as I'd like to print off an accurate, life sized blueprint.   The issue is that the text is coming out huge.

I do notice that the txt size in the drawing preferences is set to 2.5 and the mtxt is set to 1, which explains why the snap dimension txt is bigger than the mtxt but it seems so huge?

The actual device i'm makein a blueprint for is roughly 7 inches in diameter, so shouldn't it be bigger than the txt? The youtube tutorial didn't run into this problem but it was in metric, so I wonder if thats the issue.

Can someone tell me why the text is so big, and am I creating a printable blueprint that will come out life sized?

I am not native in imperials, but I think text size for dimensions and mtxt for scale 1:1 in inches should be 0.1 inches for 2.5mm text height on paper (standard).
