Ja, ik ben een Nederlander en dat vind ik het belangrijkst om te vertellen. Ik begrijp wel wat Engels, maar ik kan daar zeker niet verantwoord in communiceren. Soms moet je wat omdat iets niet mogelijk (b)lijkt te zijn. Zo ook LibreCAD. Lijkt aardig tegemoet te kunnen komen aan mijn wensen; een eenvoudig tekenprogramma zonder al te veel fratsen. Helaas niet Nederlandstalig. Ja, een paar dingetjes, maar ik zou de reactie van Engelstaligen weleens willen zien wanneer die op een programma stuiten met net zo veel Engels als nu Nederlands. ;-) Ook nog geen Nederlandstalige handleiding en geen Nederlandstalig forum. Nou ja, ik zag ook wel wat niet Engelstalig op dit forum, Dus ... geen zeil gezet, geen wind gevangen.
Ik woon op een historisch zeilschip van 120 jaar oud en was vanaf het begin (80-er jaren van de vorige eeuw) een Acorn/RISC-adept. Sinds kort probeer ik Linux op een Raspberry Pi 400.
Ik ben niet zo benauwd, dus wanneer je wilt e-mailen

Of course, it is easier to communicate and use software in ones mother tongue. But in open source projects this requires contributions from native speakers. For the software there is probably a lack of Dutch contributions, thus the fall back for not translated content is English.

For the forum you have to wait if you get response from other Dutch users. Sometimes it just needs spark to ignite the fire.
I can create a Dutch sub forum here, if there is enough response.

The pro is clear, it is much easier to describe issues and discus in your mother tongue.
But the con is, that the community is limited and other language speaker are excluded. This means that issues have to be solved for each language and other language speaker can't profit from foreign solutions.

Concerning documentation, I think most browsers support website translation meanwhile, that's the easiest way to use the manual or wiki in any language. And of course the forum too.
