I can't seem to get the Hatch function to work. The Hatch preview isn't working either.
![]() After I go through the motions of trying to create a Hatch, the status bar reports that a Hatch was successfully created, but no hatch shows up in the drawing. The strange thing is, if I click inside the area where the Hatch is supposed to be, something gets selected according to the 'Selected Entities' status bar at the bottom, but the appearance of the drawing window doesn't change at all. I'm using version 1.0.0rc2 but I had the same problem with the previous version. Windows 7 x64 Thanks |

Below, a link to that bug tracker: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=342582&atid=1433844 - Also, could you provide us a drawing sample on which the bug can be reproduced. Remark: This drawing can be included in the bug tracker. Claude |

Hello Claude,
I'll try to report this on the bug tracker right now, as per your request. I'll include a screen shot of the drawing window here, and on the bug tracker. ![]() |

I'm not familiar with the bug tracker, so I hope my post is OK.

Your post in bug tracker is OK.
You can make some test... If the hatch is solid, it work? If you change the pattern, work in preview? work in drawing? If scaling the circle x10 and set the hatch scale to 1, work in drawing? I have no windows 7 and I can not prove myself |

No. > If you change the pattern, work in preview? work in drawing? No. I tried several different patterns. > If scaling the circle x10 and set the hatch scale to 1, work in drawing? No. |

By the way, is there supposed to be a choice of colors if you want a 'solid' hatch?

Someone with Windows 7 but 32 bits can see if it works ?
so we are discarding possibilities... |

From one of the previous screenshots I noticed that the draw mode is on.
Can you flip this switch: ![]() Or the menu entry: ![]() So it's un-checked or un-grayed. Ries

AH HAH!
That did the trick. R. van Twisk rides to the rescue. Now could you please explain how or why that fixed the problem? What does the Draft button do? (I guess I need to read further in the manual.) Speaking of the Manual, it didn't work on my computer in rc1, but it works now. |

The draft button is only there to speed up drawing, it removes the hatches and texts.

Thanks.
Do I need to head on over to the bug tracker and flush my post down the toilet or anything? |

Excuse me,
I tried to create new hatch, I saved them in the folder / usr / share / librecad / patterns but when I put them in the drawing can not see anything, not even in preview. To add a new hatch I followed the guide of Claus82 http://forum.librecad.org/file/n5708305/hatches_tutorial.pdf Thank you for reading ![]() PS the "draft" is unchecked |

I'm not sure but I think you can only make hatches out of "Lines" and "Arcs".
Could you please try if this works for you? @devs Is the 2.x version only able to create hatches from lines and arcs only? |

I'm sorry but I do not think I understand what you mean.
First of all I wanted to say that I use version 1.0.2 of LC on a Linux distribution. So, I create a drawing with some intersecting lines and save the picture in the folder "/ usr / share / librecad / patterns" with extension dxf. ![]() Then I open a new drawing in LC and create a circle that I want to fill with the hatch just created. I select the pattern created in the input mask hatch, but can not see anything. But then 'if I click in the circle I see a dotted line as if I had actually selected something. But I also noticed that many of the pre-installed hatch do not work. Maybe the problem is related to the LC version in use. |

Could you please install the latest version of LibreCAD?
Looks like you are using OSx so you could try this: http://sourceforge.net/projects/librecad/files/OSX/2.0.0rc2/ if you have a different operation system please see here: http://librecad.org/cms/home/installation/windows.html linux:http://librecad.org/cms/home/installation/linux.html |

Which operating system do you have?
for suse/fedora you can try this packages: http://librecad.org/cms/home/installation/rpm-packages.html the latest stable version is 1.0.3 and there is also a release candidate of the 2.0.0 version I would suggest to try the 2.0.0 version although it's a release candidate. I tried to create hatches on the 1.0.2 version and also have problems doing it. |
