PDF import

Hi there,
I use this LibreCAD version:

It's a very cool tool.
My drawing cannot see the imported PDF background, although I can see its frame in the DRAFT option. Yesterday, when I closed the drawing, everything was visible.
However, I can still import photos, e.g. converted from PDF, but their quality is to poor for my work.
I am waiting for quick help, please.

Use the highest definition available on one of the pdf2gif or pdf2jpg free conversion web pages, and use the resulting image.

You say you have imported a pdf, it didn't show, but you could see the frame in draft mode. I can't even see the frame. No, LibreCAD can't import a pdf.
I just have tried to open a pdf in Inkscape and then save it as dxf. Worked surprisingly well. But contained bitmaps were lost.

In the screenshot can see PDF frames but cannot see its contents:

OK, yes now I see, if you import a pdf as an image, you get a frame visible in draft mode. It's allways a square of 1x1 units size (with standard import settings) regardless of size and content of the pdf. So it's nonsense.  

Thanks guys, but I'm at the starting point.
Either I can't handle LC or the image import interface should automatically limit the type of files to import.
PDF is a very popular image standard, so if LC does not import PDF, it needs some extension corrections and maybe someone smarter will solve this problem.

File, Import, Insert Image, Filename: All Image Files - No pdf. Seems clear.

pdf is not a format, it is more a binder for other formats. (Note svg, a vector format, is also in the list.) Write an extension if you feel you need one.

If you import a svg via Insert Image, it is imported as a bitmap image only, even if it originally is a vector drawing.

FYI,  use online PDF to DXF converters.
