Problem scaling an image

Blain Albin
Trying to scale an image that I imported.  I'm using the Modify -> Scale command.

The image I've imported is a jpg sized about 3882 x 632 and is 72dpi

I will start the command, select the image, set reference point.

The Scale Options dialog comes up.
I choose Delete Original.
Set scale to 0.5.
Choose Isotropic scaling
Use current attributes is unchecked
Use current layer is unchecked.

When I click Ok my image disappears.  It's like it deletes the original then doesn't redraw the new image.

It works fine if I use it on a normal line object like a square.

Can anyone duplicate this?

Using v2.1.3
Windows 10

Thanks

Yes, I can reproduce this. Funny thing is, I have never realized this before, although I have been playing around with that feature a lot. If you do 'autozoom' the image is back. Perhaps I always did this automatically. It does not react to other zooming or 'redraw', however.

Thanks for the reply dellus.  And thanks for the work around.  At least I can actually get the intended results.  I was stuck before.

Thanks again.

Indeed, same problem here, and workaround does the job but it's quite annoying.
Do you know if there's any plan to fix this?
