Bonsoir to all,
Back to LC after a long interruption I am faced with a strange problem: while I was using the Fillet function yesterday, all of sudden, it stopped working: after selecting the first entity it asks for the second and that is where things go wrong.
Normally, as I come close to the second entity, it shows where the fillet will be. IT DOES NOT ANY MORE. If I click on the second entity it then prompts me to click on the first entity.
I tried various things like:
- re-starting my computer: nothing,
- re-installing LC: nothing,
-installing a previous version of LC: nothing.
I suspect I clicked somewhere where I should not have, question is where??????
Someone to help a lost Frenchman?
Regards,
Christian
PS: I forgot to say that the Bevel function works fine
Playing around further I got the bug too. It seemed erratic, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But then, the solution came to my mind: Probably it happens only with a polyline, probably a rectangle. If you accidently do a fillet with radius 0, you can't apply a valid fillet afterwards anymore. You have to to explode the polyline first, then it works again.
Hmm, I have no explanation then. You might provide a sample drawing here, so I can test if it's an issue with the program. If reinstall doesn't help, you might have to delete the registry settings. These are outside of LibreCAD and not affected by reinstallation, by purpose, to retain your settings.
I have done that in the past, but I don't remember how. I would have to google for that, there also are apps for that purpose...
You might first try Options - Application Preferences - Defaults - Clear Settings - All.
Another thought: a stupid thing that can happen is that the active layer is set invisible and the lines to be filleted on a different one. The fillets then will be on the invisible layer. Switch it visible and - tata!
