Unwanted lines that go forever

Every line I draw in my drawing (on layer 0) after adjusting the dimension lines (on the dimension layer) now have lines extending forever in both directions forever.  Even new lines I draw.  It must have been something I did adjusting the dimension line numbers in (Edit - Current drawing preferences).

I was just getting the text the right size and the dimension lines the right size, but what could I have done to make the lines I've drawn on the "0" layer to have the infinite lines going from begining and ending of the line outward from there.

In the layer list, between the printer button and the layer name, there is a button that looks like #.
Also you can right click on the layer and choose 'Toggle construction layer".
