I asked for write-access to the Librecad wiki two days ago. No reply yet. Should I wait longer or is there a different way to get access rights?

Ferdi,
I must have missed this mail, appologies for the delay. you now have access to the wiki. You may also hang out on IRC if you like :) On May 27, 2014, at 2:45 PM, Ferdi [via LibreCAD] <[hidden email]> wrote: I asked for write-access to the Librecad wiki two days ago. No reply yet. That was quick, thanks!
I worked a little bit on layout of http://wiki.librecad.org/index.php/LibreCAD_version_2,_users_Manual/Guide_-_by_Bob_Woltz So far some diagrams are missing. I found the original (?) pdf-file. I'll check license. If OK I'll transfer the missing pictures soon. Should we improve/extend this manual or is it better to contribute to other wiki pages? |
Wiki-manual: is it possible to allow DXF file upload? If yes we could collect example DXF files there.
|
You can upload a file and include file link in wiki pages.
"Upload a file" button can be found in the left panel under "Tools" |
But only graphic files, no files with "DXF" extension. |

Hi Ries,
I don't seem to be able to access wiki.librecad.org. I did enter my email on the application as [hidden email] I am logged in under the forum. Am I missing something? Thanks! Jim Date: Wed, 18 Mar 2015 11:16:18 -0700 From: [hidden email] To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: Wiki access

Jim, the forum and wiki are not connected for login's because the forum is hosted somewhere else. You have to go to this page : http://wiki.librecad.org/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin&returnto=Main+Page to login into the wiki. Ries

Hi Ries,
User name: Jim Winkler Logging into http://librecad.org/cms/home/get-help/forum.html with [hidden email] (email, not password) gets me on. Presumably, it's the same password? It recognizes "Jim Winkler". (Going to be gone until tomorrow btw) Thanks again! Jim, both systems use different passwords. In both cases The system should have been asked for a password. And I believe both system's do have a password recovery procedure. Ries

Hi Ries,
I requested a password reset for the forum and then attempted to request a password reset for the wiki and got:

Hi Ries,
I tried resetting my password from here: http://wiki.librecad.org/index.php/Special:PasswordReset I never received an email. It's been 12 hours or so. Any other options? Must have mis-entered my email. Thanks -Jim Date: Wed, 18 Mar 2015 14:21:08 -0700 From: [hidden email] To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: Wiki access Jim, both systems use different passwords. Hi Ries,
I tried to register as Jim Winkler again, but it appears that the account was not removed. I reapplied as "James Winkler" and jimlibrecad (that symbol) outlook.com. I confirmed on April 11th but have not received a confirmation. Thanks again! Jim |
When I do a "reset password", I don't get an email. Checked spam folder too. Must have mis-entered my email. My James Winkler account has been approved. Shall I use it? Thanks -Jim
