Dan,
you are not calculation a toolpath? Just wondering, because there is already software available that can calculate these for you.

Hi
We're looking for a cad package that includes the capability to do a XY coordinate dimension. Similar to an ordinate dimenstion, execpt it works on both the X and Y axis at the same time.
If you do a lot of manual and converstational CNC machining. It would be really nice to have the CAD package do this coordinate dimension. Basically, pick a reference point, and pick a bunch of 'dual ordinate' dimensions. So, pick some point, and place a bunch of dimensions that give the X-Y offset from that first point. It would be really nice if a leader were drawn to the target dimensions point, and it allowed the the user to place the XY text as needed. The leader would then point back to the actual corner selected away from the first point.
Has there been any talk of this? Any idea if this would be difficult to implement?
Thanks,
Dan
