I feel we can implement this.

I feel I should merge the "Help layer" feature to master first. Too little development time available to keep more than one feature implementation branch.

Yes of course, you are right we all have valuable time that we need to prioritize. I`m sure this will be implemented in time.If I had the skills I would gladly help out with the "developing & programming" but I have never done any thing like this at all and wouldn`t know where to start with it.

My skills lie in using/training CAD and so am happy to help out where I can!

Although I must admit I would love to learn a bit about how to program and write simple code/scripts or whatever you call it!

Sure, we need help from contributors in all fields:

Writing wiki, user manual, translation;
help building our part library;
sharing bueatiful screen shots;
reporting bugs, testing bug fixes;
improving our web pages.

Any help is never too little and means a lot for our large group of users!

Currently I am waiting for a DB dump and filedump of the current wiki hosted by somebody else.
Once I have it here I will install te wiki and make sure people can create accounts and work on the wiki.

Ries -thanks.

I got slightly confused with dxli`s post (implemented). I thought it was referring to the wiki! It was for the Architectural "ticks" I think!

To be clear,

our real wiki will be a media wiki based system from we can ultimatly (I hope) generate PDF and HTML documentation.
The 'wiki' found in groubhub can be seen more as a developer wiki where developers can communicate, place notes,
build instructions etc. Not how the program itself works.

OK, sorry, it's been a while...
@ Cave: yes this is what i meant!
Anyway I'm gonna post 2 images to suggest what could be nice to find in dimension section of "Drawing Preferences"

What do you think about this?

see ya!
...the problem is not the problem, the problem is your aptitude about the problem...

Yes claus82 I like the idea of "customizable fonts" and the "fixed" extension lines. I`m sure the guys can implement this for a future release.

I have installed just for this feature the LibreCAD Master version, SCM 2.0.0alpha, Compiled on Oct 8 2012, but can't figure out how can I change the arrows to '/' or '.'?

My system is Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS, and the LibreCAD is installed first using Ubuntu repository, and after that by running the commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:librecad-dev/librecad-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Any advices will be appreciated!
Best, Paul
