display "side-scale"

How do i display a x,y scale on the side in the Layer Window such as its possible with Qcad?

ok thanks. so, my problem: i want to trace a pencil sketch to librecad. so actual i have the dimensions, which i want to have with it. when i do a circle, line or else, how do i know how big it is without counting the grids?

edit: Ok i think i got it. the only clue is the counter on bottom left an it was a question of setting the scale. Is there an option to save the set settings?

ps: an kind of Ruler on the sides would be useful though.
