hatch

I am working for a long time on a huge CAD with a lot of layers.
When I restart and open the file, there is a message in the comand box : "Hatch failed due to a gap ..."
My problem is that I cannot remember in which layer I used the hatch.
Is there a way to find the layer ?

thanks,

Try binary split to solve any problem. Delete half the layers, if problem goes then it was in the half that were deleted, otherwise it is in the half retained. Keep working with the half containing the problem until the actual layer is identified.

The ... in the message tells the exact coordinates where the gap is located.
Thus you can zoom in and find the involved entities by X/Y coordinates.
If there are multiple entities you can use Properties or Attributes tool to find the layer of the nearby entities.
When there are too much entities on the coordinates, follow @flywire's advice.
investing less than half an hour into Search function can save hours or days of waiting for a solution

I removed ALL the layers (not layer 0, that I cann't remove). And still I have this message !? Strange. Is it possible to seek in the file .dxf with a text editor as vi or gedit ?
