insert image feature not working

Ubuntu 12.04
LibreCAD 1.0.1

Insert image feature does not work for either jpg or jpeg.  I click on camera button and am able to access my photo list.  Click on the desired image and all I can do is make a rectangle on a layer but no image.

Am I missing something?

I think the draft/picture issue could be interesting for a lot of users.
So this forum could collect the most interesting questions to make a FAQ.

About contribution
I'm not sure that I have enough skills to share them.
Maybe I can translate some interface or some tutorial in my mother language (French)...

About insert image.
Is there a way or a method to insert an aerial photography (bearing and scale)?

I suggest to change the design of the draft mode icon  during switching on.
Description : When the draft mode is disengaged, the icon has the appearance of a "blank page"

this didnt work for me? I just cant ad an image (bmp either jpg) to librecad. does anybody know why?

I did, but with no effect (on Mac OS).

I tried the same with Windows 7, there is no problem...

 

What LibreCAD version are you using?

version 2.0.0alpha4 is available and now very recently version 2.0.0beta1.
