permission to save

Hi
When I try to save or save as--- a new drawing--- "permission is denied"
Also when I save an existing file to a thumb drive it goes through QCad.
Please help

When " saving " a new drawing a message says----"cannot save---please check file name and permissions."

When  transferring existing drawings to an external drive  (thumb drive ) using "SAVE AS " the DXF drawing is passed through Qcad which is an older drawing download on my computer.
I am not sure about  trashing  the Qcad download.

I mean information like detailed steps to reproduce this bug behavior:

0, start LC
1, draw a line: Draw->Line->2 points: 0,0 ; @1,1
2, File->Save As
3, In file Dialog, select file name: /tmp/ross.dxf
4, click Ok to accept

Results: an error message box pop up: "Cannot save the file /tmp/ross.dxf Please check file name and permissions"

Expected result: the drawing is properly saved to file /tmp/ross.dxf; a message is displayed in history info: Saved drawing: /tmp/ross.dxf

Hi , and thanks for reply.
I am not sure of your questions but I will try and answer.

Every new drawing that I make has the following problems.

1. after 5 minutes
error message pops up: " cannot save the file / volumes/ librecAD / test 1.dxf. Please check permissions.
Auto-save disabled"

2 when I select> save
error message pops up: " cannot save the file / volumes / libreCAD /test 1. dxf. please check permissions.

3. When I try to close the drawing
error message pops up : " closing drawing.Do you really want to close the file / volumes / libreCAD /test 1 . dxf.
It prompts save but every time it is selected the same message pops up.
