snaping on entity

kunna
Hello iam quite new in CAD systems i used GIS until now. Iam started to digitize some paper sketches in libre cad  but iam stuck now.
1. I realized thet snaping on entity doesnt work when image is turnd on in bacground (works only snaping on endpoints and snaping at intersection
2. Modify tool "round" also doesent work - program crash when you use it and image is loaded on bacground.
3. I have no idea what maximum image resolution can i import into librecad. when i tried to import  20000x9000 jpeg into - nothing happend. when I resample it to same smaller resolution it works - where is the problem.

I have win Xp and win Vista and the same problem on boths.

Thx for help Iam stucked now in middle of work....

Re: snaping on entity

1 and 2 both sounds like bugs, please file two bug reports on our sourceforge bug tracker. for the time being, a workaround could be: put the image into another layer, hide that layer temporarily in order to use snapping for other entities

3, 20000x9000 in RGB format would be 20000x9000/1024^2= 686 MB. It's not a surprise to be broken for 32 bit OS. I tested loading of a 20000x9000 image into LibreCAD. It simply works for me in 64bit linux.

thanks,

dxli
