I decided to try my wife's MacBook Air Intel Core 2 Duo running Mt Lion 10.85
Downloaded LibreCAD Mountain Lion and go the error message that the version is wrong for this machine.
I then downloaded Maverick and got the same message.
I then downloaded Lion and got the same message.

Any ideas?

I may take her machine up to Maverick and try again.  But will wait until tomorrow to see if anyone has any other ideas.
