Hi,

I’ve downloaded 2.09 and there is an improvement. When drawing parallel lines, the system only works on horizontal and vertical lines and not on oblique lines. Also, when drawing horizontal and vertical lines, and when moving the cursor near the target line, the proposed line appears on only one side of the target line. Are these two outcomes normal?

With kind regards

Tim

Hi wynnjones,

I'm sorry to know the app is unstable for you.

First, are you running Mac or Windows. We have serious problem with Mac/OSX packaging, calling for a Mac developer to join us.

The parallel line crashing, I couldn't reproduce this issue on my system (Gentoo Linux).

Please make sure you upgrade to the latest stable release 2.0.9. If you are on mac, it means you should build from source. From my own experience, the app is stable when building from source on mac. On building from source, you should be able to follow our wiki: http://wiki.librecad.org/index.php/LibreCAD_Installation_from_Source

For including of a valid help file in the app, I think we are still in the process to generate User manual from wiki. When a valid user manual can be automatically generated, a copy will be included for future releases.

Please let us know if there still issues there.

When, having drawn a horizontal line using the horizontal icon, then drawing a parallel line beneath it, and then when attempting to join the two LH ends of the lines with a third line using the two points method, the program crashes. Is this an invalid step please? I have re-loaded the program twice.

The program does crash fairly frequently, particularly after an invalid command. Is this simply “O-E” (operator error) or perhaps because my laptop is a 64 bit machine?

Might I respectfully suggest that you include a table of contents and/or an index sometime please?

With kind regards

Tim
