windows 10 and librecad

Paul Meldrew
How to add Librecad to Windows 10 Default Applications, Librecad is installed ok and functions ok but I want to assign Librecad to DXF extension. I do not want to keep making many selections each time to open a DXF file that I did not create, I just want to double click a file to open it.
Many thanks,
Paul Meldrew.

right click a dxf file and select "properties" from the menu. on the properties dialog click the "change" button. in the "how do you want to open .dxf files from now on?" dialog scroll down to the bottom and click the "more apps" link. manually browse to your librecad installation folder and then double click "LibreCAD.exe" (e.g.: C:\Program Files (x86)\LibreCAD 2.2.0 RC1 254 20200612\LibreCAD.exe). finally, click the "ok" button on the previous dialog followed by apply/ok on the properties dialog.

Dear Darren Winter,
Many Many Many thanks for this, it worked just fine, I searched the Windows 10 for dummies and could not find what I wanted.
Ever grateful,
Paul.
