I did
this with the following steps:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:librecad-dev/librecad-stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install librecad
And ended up at V2.0.0beta1 and figured well that should at least change something. Still crashes upon opening for some reason.
I did find that if I open the file folder (i.e. Nautilus) and open the file by double clicking, that will work.
But I'd also like to fix the bug. I'm still fairly new to Ubuntu. How would I actually CHOOSE the version that I'd like to run. I'd prefer to use the 1.0.2 or beta2 that you mentioned.
