Hatching problem !!

Nickm85
Hi I’m quite new to librecad but getting on well until comes to hatching . Second time now I’ve drew an object comes to hatching and it comes up with failed due to gap at certain co-ordinates . I check around and can’t see any gaps . Also says invalid hatch area , please check that the entities chosen from one or more closed contours .

Can anyone help point me in right direction please

This post was updated on .
The contour requirement is quite strict: the entities must have their start/end points connected to form simple closed loops, so intersection points don't count. We are talking about adding the ability to hatch using intersection and closed areas, but help is needed on development.

You may also upload a minimum sample dxf file here for troubleshooting.

Hi,

In this modified dxf, I labelled some connection points which are invalid for hatch creation.

For a valid hatch contour, all connection points must be start/end points of both entities. In the labelled (small red circles)cases, not all lines starts/ends at the connection points.

Following the labelled bad connection points, you should be able to find other bad ones.

A good connection point is a start/end point for both entities
