How can I move a dimension?

I added to dimensions to my drawing, and then wanted to move a couple of them further away from the line.
I tried using the move/copy command but can never get past "select to move".

I can click on the dimension and move it with my mouse, but that does not extend the extension lines.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Click on the dimension and then grab it at the small blue square at one end of the dimension line and pull at that point.

Wow, do I feel dumb.
