How to add text to a drawing

Trying to add text to a drawing. I follow the instructions and put the text in the dialog box and click OK. I see the yellow reference lines and the outline of the text box but  I do not see the text. I left click once and right click once and then I only have the box outline without any text.

What am I not doing correctly?

Thank you for replying. My first time uploading a file so hope I have done so correctly. Since my initial post I have realized that the contents of the text boxes at the top actually print but I cannot see the contents on the screen and cannot see contents on the print preview; they just show up as 2 rectangular boxes.

Text is showing clearly for me on Windows.



What operating system are you using here?

I have attached a revision of your file, I have put the text on another layer (Text) in a Green colour, can you test this one out and see if it makes a difference.

Log in,'right click' on the file and choose save as to download it.

Problem resolved. My thanks to both who replied. Disabling Draft Mode did the trick. I doubt that I would ever have found that on my own.
