Import in Autocad not working

Yanni
I have been sending dxf files to the engineers for our jigs and some of the files are not opening where some do open. I've sent these in different versions 2000, 2007, 2012, 2014 to no avail.

The message they receive from Autocad is usually:
Invalid or incomplete DXF input -- drawing discarded

Is there anything to increase the stability of the files.
I have to import them in Turbocad and then re-export them in order to open...

Yanni,

I know this post is old but try to save the .dxf in release 12 or 14 and that should do it, I tested all the other possible scenarios, 2000 on up and they acted as you described...

I created the  autocad release 14 .dxf in Libre cad 2.02 on Linux,  then open into windows 8.1 release 14 autocad. Worked fine..
